If you don't want a few hours sojourn in gorgeous rural Australia, don't read "Breaking the Drought". Without being obtrusive, the description of the country and small town are spot on. Beautifully evocative. You'll want to travel there - Jimmy Choos in hand (it's an injoke - read the book and you'll get it),
Jenna is a warm, believable heroine who reveals aspects of herself and shows her courage in a way you'll totally love her.
Luke is a brave, tragedy-scarred hero (and don't we love those?) who is honourable and gorgeous.
The characters feel genuine. I liked that.
"Breaking the Drought" is a sweet romance (emotional and real) with an interlude of sexiness (hot!).
Lisa Ireland is a debut author with my publisher Escape Publishing (for full disclosure in my reviewing) and we chat on Twitter and FB. I think she's an author to watch. True storytelling is a gift.
