Trying to beat a noisy neighbourhood, I got up early this morning to revise a short story for a final time before sending it in to my editor. It's a good short story (says the biased author), but I was a bit daunted by this post by Sunita at Dear Author on serialised stories and shorts. I don't want readers running scared and frustrated at the mere mention of short stories.

I'm a big fan of short stories. They make me weigh every word (as a frustrated poet, I enjoy this) and the plotting has to be spot on. There's nowhere to hide.

Anyways, let's end this post on a more cheerful note. While the neighbour's jackhammering was driving me insane yesterday, I made this simple graphic.
