A Trick of Strong Imagination - Alyson Grauer, Tee Morris, Philippa Ballantine
I picked up "A Trick of Strong Imagination" when its author, Alyson Grauer, mentioned it on a circus/fairground themed #steampunkchat on Twitter. Other than the setting, I had no expectations about the story -- and then I realised it was set in the Ministry of Peculiar Occurrence's world. Such a great world.

"A Trick of Strong Imagination" is well written with a strong, steampunk voice and the focus on the heroine's perspective works really well in keeping the short story powering along.

The twist, or trick, was unexpected and interesting. And no, I'm not sharing spoilers! Enjoy
