Shards of Hope (Psy/Changeling) - Nalini Singh

It's nearly winter here. Just a handful of days and it's official. I'm not what anyone would term a social butterfly -- question: read or go out? only ever has one answer :) But what I would like is to have the cosy settled feeling when I can focus on my writing and reading, and not a hundred and one other things. Then I might actually catch up with my writing schedule (it's already been adjusted back a month because I was overly optimistic re the book I'm writing. It's going to need a lot of work in the second draft as I fill in gaps).

On the reading front, I am missing terribly time to enjoy non-fiction. I read The Guardian Weekly on weekends and its book reviews just taunt me with all the fabulous new releases.

I'm doing a bit better with fiction, at least catching up with some favourite authors' books. I just picked up Shards of Hope by Nalini Singh. However, I'd like to stretch and enjoy some new genres and authors.

Hibernation is the only answer! Hibernation with books :)
