The Curious Gardener's Almanac: Centuries of Practical Garden Wisdom - Niall Edworthy

I'd call "The Curious Gardener's Almanac" a book of gardening trivia, lore and quotations. It's pleasant to dip into and I enjoyed it over the weekend. If you stumble across it, pick it up. I wouldn't say to race out and buy it.

A couple of things stood out:

The first an English translation of an ironic Spanish saying - that tomorrow is always the busiest day :)

The second an idea for drying flowers -- put them in a shallow tray of dry sand and place them somewhere warm for a couple of weeks.

Maybe the fact it was aimed at English gardeners is what stopped me from connecting. Gardening conditions are a bit different here in my corner of Australia (says she, with understatement).
