"Lyrical realism". Does that sound pretentious? It's what popped into my mind. The sensitive heart-breaking history of the heroine, Belinda, plus her paranormal aspect, is balanced by the earthy reality of Australian small town life.
A memorable romance at a very nice price (I picked this up free on Amazon - I chat with Demelza online and so saw when she advertised it as free) if you want to taste-test her style before launching into the Ocean's Gift series.
